Why are we so good at doing some things so badly?

There is a presupposition that ‘Unconscious Competence’ only refers to things that are good for us. Gavin is suggesting we may have ‘grooved’ and ‘perfected’ some behaviours that are at best bad for us and at worst positively dangerous.

I’m looking forward to discovering his methods for flushing out such un-useful ‘unconscious competence’ and to losing some limiting behaviours or beliefs caught in this ‘excellence trap’.

This might be anything from bad habits like nail biting to destructive self talk or physical harming. It may just be the odd belief or two telling us that we can’t be good at anything yet at the same time disproving this by being good at being bad at everything.

Gavin is an NLP trainer using NLP in his training of others. He specialises in training people to become excellent at Presentations and is a keen member of Toastmasters, The Professional Speakers Association, and of course NLP-South.

This will be an evening full of FUN. Gavin sorts for FUN. He knows that the more fun we have the better the learning.

So come along on Thursday May 6th and bring with you all those useless skills that hold you back from your true potential brilliance. Expect to leave much taller, and perhaps with more hair than you arrived with (assuming male pattern baldness is me being good at believing male pattern baldness cannot be changed)!

To find out more about Gavin visit his web site.
